Brian Chu is a documentary filmmaker whose work has been featured in i-D Vice, Vogue Italy, Vibe, Wired, World Press Photo, Nowness Asia, Paper Magazine, and Remezcla. His films showcase our commonalities as human beings through the day-to-day lives of his subjects. In 2008, he produced his first feature-length documentary titled "The Recess Ends." Alongside his brother Austin, they embarked on a journey across 50 states to capture a snapshot of America during the recession. Recently, his next film follows rapper China Mac as he starts a nationwide movement protesting racism towards Asian Americans during the pandemic.
